EroSpain 2026 was a familiar stop for Sciart - Fred and Dan have attended the last few years - but this time Leea and Lauren made the trip to Barcelona, and a first visit to any trade show has a way of surfacing observations that familiarity tends to flatten.

For both of them, what struck them most was not the scale of the floor at Fira de Barcelona, but how differently brands approach the same challenge of getting someone to stop, look, and start a conversation.

Some stands ran competitions. Others leaned on food and drinks. Some let the products do the talking entirely. There is no single formula, and the variety made that obvious. What the strongest stands had in common was clarity - you knew immediately what the brand was, who it was for, and why you should care.

Getting to see products outside of a sales deck or website changes the conversation. You can pick things up, understand how they are made, talk to the people behind them. For brands trying to earn shelf space or distribution, that tactile credibility matters more than most marketing materials can replicate.

The most consistent theme across three days of conversations, however, was Reddit. Brands that had previously treated it as an afterthought are paying serious attention. The question is no longer whether Reddit is relevant to sexual wellness - it is - but how to show up there without getting it wrong. Leea's survey findings from the show, published in EAN this month, speak directly to that.

EroSpain is back in Barcelona next year. If you are planning to attend, it is worth getting on our radar early.
